Svakom Joins NGO 'Drop In the Bucket' Water Access Charity Effort

LOS ANGELES — Svakom has announced it is joining forces with international aid NGO Drop in the Bucket to assist community development by constructing water and sanitation facilities at schools and communities.

Svakom will donate 10% of its sales from August 20 to August 30 to Drop in the Bucket.

“Many of us have no idea that we could save two million lives a year if we did nothing other than provide access to clean water, without any other medical intervention,” a rep explained. “That’s exactly what Drop — a registered international NGO — has been doing since 2006."

“Donating to Drop is a tremendous honor and money well spent,” the company rep added. “They bring life-saving water to communities and schools in Uganda and South Sudan, and also create the opportunity for education, enabling children, especially girls, to receive an education and realize their full potential.”

Drop, the rep continued, “believes that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and that every school should have access to clean water and improved sanitation facilities in order to create an environment that is conducive to learning.”

“It’s something that fits really well with Svakom’s concept of social responsibility,” the rep sentenced.

According to the rep, Drop has constructed or rehabilitated over 350 school water points in Uganda and South Sudan.

“This organization has made tangible impact and should be supported to continue its worthwhile efforts,” they added. “Svakom considers it a great positive experience to make its contributions: the more people and communities who offer their ‘drops’ in the bucket, the more buckets will fill up and overflow to converge into a mighty strength and make a big impact.”
