DJ Productions to Close Advertising Programs

CYBERSPACE - Citing an increase in fraud and a decrease in renewal and conversion rates, adult website sponsorship company DJ Productions announced it will be closing its advertising programs’ doors on Saturday.

According to an email sent to members of their “Fat Pockets” sponsorship program, the Vancouver-based company intends to stop tracking traffic on Sept. 18 and make a final payment to all members on Oct. 20.

“There’s really not too much to the story,” DJ Productions’ Mike Dixon told XBiz. “Financially, it just made sense to close up the ad program.”

When the email reached adult webmaster message board GoFuckYourself.Com yesterday, reactions ranged from confusion to sadness.

“Man, that really sucks,” wrote one user. “They're the reason I was able to blow $80,000 on stupid shit that I didn't need in 2000. They even sent me steaks in the mail once for Christmas.”

“They sent me a bottle of Dom Perrion and I made lot's of money with them in 1999 and 2000 too,” wrote another user. “They are top notch guys.”

Creator of the “Fat Pockets” and “Big Time Cash” programs, the company promoted more than 30 sites by offering 90 percent payback of all revenue generated by members and a Bonus Bucks incentive program that awarded extra money that could be spent at Amazon.com.

In its email, DJ Productions noted that members of the Big Time Cash recurring program will be paid by the company through Oct. 20, after which Paycom will take over handling the payments.

The company also stated that all Bonus Bucks are now forfeited.

DJ Productions’ DVD Hookup Affiliate Program, which deals with online adult DVD rentals, will not be affected by the closing of the advertising programs, according to a notice posted on the company’s website.
