Wentworth Video 'Don't You Forget About Me' Surfaces

LOS ANGELES — A new music video starring Jarec Wentworth has surfaced online almost a year since the gay porn performer was sentenced to federal prison on extortion charges.

In a music video by director-turned-gay porn star Colt Rivers, Wentworth struts down the city streets of downtown Los Angeles, along Broadway, Main, Spring and 5th, wearing nothing but an Andrew Christian brief and beat-up army boots, rocking out to the anthem “Don’t You Forget About Me.”

The panoramic video, available here, was said to have been made prior to his arrest that led to prison time.

Wentworth last year was convicted on six counts of extorting Donald Burns, a multimillionaire Magic Jack exec who admittedly had a penchant for sexual affairs with gay porn stars. Wentworth was sentenced to five years and 10 months and is currently in federal prison at Victorville, Calif.

News of the video release was first reported by Str8UpGayPorn.com, which noted that it first appeared online a year-and-a-half ago but was subsequently pulled from Vimeo.

“Now, nearly one year after Wentworth’s extortion conviction, Rivers has re-edited and re-released the full, stunning version of that video,” Str8UpGayPorn said. “Rivers — who directed music videos for the Backstreet Boys and others before becoming a gay porn star — says he plans on making more clips like this.”

In his Vimeo post that accompanies the music video, Rivers explained the shoot.

“The shoot was in downtown Los Angeles last winter and Jarec was visibly nervous about the concept but I talked him into it with a lot of moonshine,” Rivers posted on Vimeo.

“I think you’ll agree what was captured is haunting and beautiful. This was just weeks before his infamous arrest and one of the last times I saw him.”

Rivers also noted that the video — which is dedicated to “DB,” presumably Burns, who Wentworth allegedly extorted — doesn’t have a single effect or color process applied — “it’s completely raw until the last shot where I pulled the color. I personally think that is magic.”
