LOS ANGELES — The San Francisco-based Kink.com decided to temporarily halt video production and cancel shoots through early next week in reaction to what is at least one positive syphilis performer in Los Angeles.

There have been no related incidents at Kink, but the studio decided to act out of caution and safety, the studio said.

Kink.com said it is evaluating current testing protocol and will review the situation Monday. Before shooting can resume, all Kink models will be required to provide a new test from an approved testing facility. In an email to models, Kink apologized for the last-minute shoot cancellations and offered testing information. Kink expects production to resume mid-next week.

Kink expressed "strong support for the decision by APHSS.org (Adult Production Health & Safety Services) to launch its schedule September screening program immediately, in order to alleviate any further concerns."
