Adam & Eve Reports Success With New Audio Podcast

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Adam & Eve has announced a successful venture into the new and evolving world of podcasting.

On Aug. 9, Adam & Eve posted the first in a series of 32 podcasts, entitled Friday Night Fun on the popular iTunes podcasting directory. The podcast can also be found on approximately 30 additional podcast directories.

Adam & Eve says “Friday Night Fun” is an audio podcast of adult erotic stories featuring an introduction by Penelope Pardee. The podcast is designed to be released once per week on Friday nights.

The company says the podcast provides adults with audio content that inspires and ignites satisfaction in their sexual lives and leads to healthier and happier relationships.

According to Adam & Eve, the series is off to a resounding success with more than 27,000 downloads in just a few short weeks.

Los Angeles leads the market for downloads, followed by New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Dallas. The show has also been downloaded from 21 countries outside the U.S.

iTunes has featured the “Friday Night Fun” podcast as a leader in the New and Noteworthy area of both the Health and Sexuality categories and the podcast has held top 10 ranking in both categories for “Podcast Episodes” as well as “Podcasts,” which is the general podcast category.

“This has been one of the most successful podcast releases we have ever worked with," said Chris Barbu, executive podcast producer of Fast Forward Media. "Within just a few short days, the podcast was featured in iTunes and the first audio program, ‘Moving Violation,’ was ranked number two in the most popular podcast following Dan Savage of ‘Savage Love’ in the sexuality category. There obviously is a great deal of interest in this content and it was nice to see Apple’s iTunes feature the program so quickly.”

Adam & Eve's marketing director Chad Davis said the company wanted to extend its brand by offering a new service to its customers.

"We are delighted that we are fulfilling a need and hope to offer other podcasts in the near future," Davis said.

The venture is in association with Sounds Publishing, Fast Forward Media and Bautista Direct Marketing.
