Frosmo says that SNL differs from current forms of measurement such as CPC, CPM or CPA methodologies, and focuses on the ways people consume and share media today — leveraging consumers' social networks for sales and conversion opportunities.

"Commerce and network analysis in today's socially-evolved web have traditionally been evaluated by simplistic connections between participants. The SNL statistical model includes an analysis of individual personal profiles, k-factor and behavior, the correlation to revenue (or conversion) of different experience levels and the technical performance of the scalability of a given Internet service.
