Attorneys for Max Hardcore filed a motion Thursday requesting permission for the producer/director to attend the trade show before he heads off to the to begin serving his 46-month sentence on Jan. 29 for obscenity crimes.

He was allowed to remain free on bail following his conviction in April, but cannot travel without the court's permission.

“The defendant respectfully requests permission to travel … to Las Vegas,” the motion said. “[Hardcore] would respectfully request the ability to stay at the Venetian Hotel and attend this primary industry event which he has attended for the past 15 years.”

Hardcore attorneys said he needs “to complete transactions with other members of the adult entertainment business that would allow him to have the financial ability and arrangements to pay the $75,000 corporate fine and to otherwise secure his financial matters while he is away serving his sentence.”

In the motion, Hardcore attorneys said he would travel by automobile to Las Vegas and return immediately back to his home on Sunday.

According to the motion, federal prosecutor Lisa Marie Freitas notified the court she did not object to the request.
