Forbidden Fruits Films' 'Call Me Mother' Now Shipping

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Exile Distribution has announced that it is now shipping the Forbidden Fruits Films' erotic thriller, “Call Me Mother.”

According to the studio, the feature is the company's largest and most ambitious project to date. Exile Distribution President Howard Levine says his company is already receiving a significant number of the preorders for the title.

"Forbidden Fruits Films is a studio that has broken all the rules in a declining market,” Levine said of the taboo-centric studio that launched in 2013. "The success of their titles has spurred a movement throughout the industry and turned taboo erotica into what the parody was five years ago. A lot of big name studios have tried to follow suit, but Forbidden Fruits still stands on top of the pedestal.”

The film, which was written and directed by Harry Sparks (of “Revenge of the Petites” renown) follows the story of 18-year-old high school senior Jennifer (Callie Calypso), who lives at home with her father (Tony De Sergio), enjoys hanging out with her best friend Tracy (Payton Simmons) and loves her boyfriend Danny (T. Stone). But Jennifer's life abruptly changes when she begins an affair with Grace (Jodi West), her sexy new stepmother. Tensions ramp up when Jennifer tries to end the relationship, but Grace refuses to let go.

"As the release date for ‘Call Me Mother’ approaches, Jodi [West] and I couldn't be more excited," said Jay West, co-owner of Forbidden Fruits Films. "We put so much energy, money, time and attention to detail into making this production a stand-out film. For the lucky few who have had the opportunity to see a pre-screening of the film, they were blown away.”

“Call Me Mother” is now shipping and will street Aug. 27. The movie will be available exclusively on DVD for the first month and is scheduled to hit VOD sites in early October.
