Customers can preview DVDs on interactive viewing stations similar to the CD listening stands at record stores — except with video.
FourWindsInteractive.com, a Colorado-based manufacturer of the Interactive Media Stations (IMS) that have been placed at each of Hustler’s eight franchises, works with various hardware manufacturers to create the kiosks according to customers’ needs, then programs the viewable content.
The content can either be presented on disk or served over a broadband connection,
In addition to Hustler content, an IMS can be loaded with promos and clips from any company’s catalog.
“Naturally, we’ve got the Britney Rears DVD on the Hustler kiosks,” AllMediaPlay President Jeff Mullen said.
Four Winds Interactive also sells kiosks for tourist attractions, medical facilities and grocery stores, claiming a 55 percent sales increase in the 200 locations their products have been deployed.
