CWIE Holding Acquires Alpha Red

TEMPE, Ariz. — CWIE Holding Company Inc., owner of CCBill, has announced that it has finalized a purchase agreement for all hosting assets of web hosting provider Alpha Red, Inc.

According to the company, the CWIE purchase includes the acquisition of Alpha Red's two privately owned datacenters in Houston, Texas; 300 Gbps of Internet connectivity; and its connections in 16 carrier neutral facilities throughout the United States.

"We are extremely pleased to announce this purchase and to welcome Alpha Red and their valued clients to the CWIE family of companies," CWIE Holding Company CEO Ron Cadwell said.

As an ISP, Alpha Red has specialized in providing service to companies with bandwidth intensive web applications and content distribution companies. Its offerings include web hosting, dedicated servers, virtual private servers, collocation services and dedicated Ethernet transit connections. With the CWIE purchase, Alpha Red retains the long-term operational funding to service and maintain its portfolio of clients; which consists of web radio stations, online storage companies and file hosting and video media websites.

CWIE Holding Company, parent company of payment processing provider CCBill and Cavecreek Web Hosting, is an information technologies (IT) services and applications provider that develops, delivers and maintains innovative and marketable e-commerce, content protection, hosting, IP transit and CDN solutions. Founded in 1996, Cavecreek remains one of the longest-running, privately-owned, full-service hosting companies in the world and is one of Level 3's largest bandwidth users.
