CandyCrash.com Asian Blog Site Launches

LOS ANGELES — Justin Treynor, creator of Asian niche paysite LavenderTabby.com, has launched CandyCrash.com, a free blog site loaded with pro and amateur Asian talent and plenty of pink.

Lavender Tabby, which launched in February, follows a MySpace-like format, showcasing Asian amateur talent with text-laden profiles. The written content came easily to Treynor, who is a prolific writer. He believes that his members enjoy reading about the models.

“I think it makes a big difference in terms of customer satisfaction and retention. I update Lavender Tabby with new content Monday through Friday,” Treynor told XBIZ, “but I also have a blog in the members area and I post there seven days a week on most weeks. I think my customers derive a lot of value just from the blog, which is primarily, though not exclusively, text.”

Treynor said though his unique hit stats for Lavender Tabby are still on the low side, his conversion rates are “kick ass.” And though Candy Crash was originally conceived to drive traffic, it has evolved into a project on its own.

"First of all, I've discovered that writing something interesting — even for just a few lines — is a lot harder than it looks,” Treynor said. “It's one thing to notice that a lot of blogs are devoid of real creativity or value. It's quite another to do something about it.

"What surfers find at Candy Crash is light-hearted, intelligent discussion covering the entire Asian niche,” he added. “That approach is paying off — the blog is gaining authority at Technorati and my posts are being picked up at Fleshbot. I see those as very positive signals."

Treynor also encourages users to send him stories or other information, aimed at the fascination with all things sexy and Asian.
