Third World Makes Strong Showing With 8 Award Noms

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Ethnic and transsexual powerhouse producer Third World Media received eight Adult Video News award nominations, with the company appearing multiple times in three categories.

Third World Media's "Naughty Little Asians" and "Pretty Little Asians" were nominated for Best Ethnic-Themed Series, Asian award; "Naughty Little Asians 20" and the Katana-produced feature "Sexual Arts Academy" were also represented in the Best Ethnic-Themed Release, Asian category.

The company also continued its strong tranny showing with "Little Asian Transsexuals" and "Shemale Samba Mania" for Best Transsexual Series. "Tokyo Cream Puffs" for Best Internal Series and "Teen Brazil" for Best Ethnic-Themed Series, Latin rounded out the company's nominations.

"The nominations we've received reflect Third World Media's strengths," Third World Media President Steve Scott said. "We tied for the most nominations in the Asian series and release categories, and we have a very strong showing in Best Transsexual Series. 'Teen Brazil' also features some of the best scenes we've shot in Brazil and the 'Tokyo Cream Puffs' series shows that we also try to incorporate fetish elements into our movies, when we can."

Scott also said the nomination of "Sexual Arts Academy" is a great start for Third World Media's newest addition, Katana.

"Our showing in the nominations demonstrates that more consumers are looking for real ethnic titles that feature performers from Asia or South America," Scott said. "They don't just want to see the Asian or Latin girl down the street, they want as close as an experience as they can get with someone from the countries our girls are from."
