VAN NUYS, Calif. — Vivid Entertainment has added another starlet to its roster of exclusive contract talent by signing Lanny Barbie as the newest Vivid Girl.

Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Barbie’s career in adult took off in 2003 after she was named Penthouse Pet of the Month.

“I started to work in porn about five seconds after my eighteenth birthday,” Barbie wrote on her website. “I went to L.A. and did several photo sessions with Suze Randall. She's probably the most famous erotic photographer in the world, so I felt really lucky that I got to shoot with her.”

Barbie went on to work extensively for Randall, posing for numerous photo sets and performing in videos. Barbie also has appeared in more than 50 other videos and DVDs, including a number of gonzo films such as Anabolic’s “World Sex Tour 24,” “Deep Throat This 12” from New Sensations and “Analgeddon #2” from Platinum X Pictures.

“I guess you could say that I was eager to get paid for something that I really love,” Barbie said. “Right from the beginning I did all the nastiest stuff — gangbangs, DP, anal, boy-girl and, of course, girl-girl.”

Specific terms of the Vivid deal were undisclosed, but it reportedly begins on April 1 and runs for several years, with Barbie set to work with director Paul Thomas and perform in an upcoming volume of Vivid’s “Where the Boys Aren’t” series.
