WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The first Adultcon Awards were given out Saturday night in a sparsely attended ceremony at the Key Club on the Sunset Strip. Awards were given in nine competitive categories, plus three achievement awards, in a fast-paced ceremony that lasted less than an hour.

Adultcon Vice President Renaud West estimated the attendance at "maybe 100," adding, "It was not well-attended, but the right people were there."

Attendees included performers Mia Rose and Jack Lawrence — the only winners who attended — Tommy Gunn, Rita Faltoyano, Ashlynn Brooke, Renae Cruz, Gwen Diamond, Cleopatra of the Nile, Kayden Cross, Nick Manning, Michelle McLaren, Nautica Thorn, Alexis Love, Rachel Starr, Danielle Derek, Savanna Gold, Candy Manson, Kayla Syns, Tabitha Tucker, Jersey Jaxin, Shy Love, Cameron Kiss, Paulina James, Megan Reece, McKenzie Michelle, Marcus London, Devon Lee, Charlotte Stokely, Brea Bennett and Tee Reel.

Also in attendance were talent representatives Derek Hay and Rob Baker; publicist Jeff Mullen; VCX President David Sutton; and industry reporters Terri Redor and James Bartholet.

The awards were nominated by the Board of Governors of the newly formed Academy of Adult Arts and Entertainment and voted on by industry professionals. The votes were tabulated and certified by attorney Gregory Alan Rutchik of the San Francisco-based Arts and Technology Law Group.
