Hasner got his start working for Bizarre Video in New York in 1998 and moved to California when the company relocated. Hasner was a roommate of Evolution Erotica boss Tom Byron for several years and the two collaborated on several projects.
“I am very excited to be working with Tommy and Matt,” Hasner said. “They put out great products, and both take a lot of pride in their work. These guys are making great ideas into reality.”
The Evolution Erotica catalog, which includes 126 titles, will grow as Byron contributes additional titles to existing lines and adds his own ideas for new lines into the mix. Pleasure Productions acquired the production company’s library of titles earlier this month after Byron joined Pleasure as a studio partner Feb. 8.
Byron plans to continue to produce lines such as “Whack Attack,” “Lord of Asses” and “Ass Eaters Unanimous.”
Hasner also will be in charge of selling two new lines from Zane: the heavy metal porn series “Radium” and the tattoo-inspired “Tattooed & Tight,” which features performers getting inked, then using the artist’s studio to film a sex scene.
