Netsol Offers DomainStorm iPhone App

LOS ANGELES — Internet marketers have a hot new tool available for selecting and registering domain names, with the release of Network Solutions' DomainStorm app.

"Get creative. Brainstorm with DomainStorm," says the company of its new mobile app targeting iPhone 3/3Gs/4 and iPod Touch users. Ushering in "a whole new way of finding a web address," the application brings domain name creativity to the forefront.

"Need a little help finding the perfect name for your website?" asks the program's promo. "Simply type in a few keywords and shake (your phone, that is) to spin the domain suggestion wheel. Available domains will appear in an instant."

DomainStorm is compatible with .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .tel, us.com and uk.com extensions; with special pricing available for .com, .org and .net extensions.

The power of the system is in its ability to facilitate domain name brainstorming by simply shaking your iPhone. No mere randomization of keywords, the app optionally incorporates geographically based search criteria to offer targeted and alternative domain name recommendations and includes a WHOIS lookup tool.

DomainStorm is available free at the iTunes App Store.
