Free Speech Coalition’s Election Year Bash Set for Saturday

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — The election to determine the country’s next president maybe weeks away, but the Free Speech Coalition is throwing an early farewell party to the Bush Administration on Saturday.

With adult director and personality Chi Chi LaRue set to emcee, FSC’s 2008 Election Year Bash will be held at the Globe Theatre on the Universal Studios Hollywood lot. An 11-piece band will provide entertainment and guests will dine on a three-course meal catered by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.

Four members of the industry will be presented with awards: Rondee Kamins, Transworld News (Woman of the Year); Scott Coffman, AEBN (Man of the Year); Sureflix Digital Distributing (Business of the Year); and Harry Mohney of Déjà Vu, who will be honored with the Legacy Award.

"This is going to be a glamorous night of fun for all of us to celebrate our industry," FSC Executive Director Diane Duke said in a statement. "Nothing is set in stone with our next president, but this year's Election Year Bash will celebrate the end of the current administration and its persecution of adult entertainment by George W. Bush and the religious right."
