Cuadra, Kerekes Asked for Handwriting Samples

Murder suspects may be ordered to submit samples after FBI finds new evidence

WILKES-BARRE, PA — Prosecutors in the murder trial of gay content producers Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes have received letters they believe were written by the two defendants. The letters could be presented as evidence in the case against them for the murder of Cobra Video owner Bryan Kocis.

A request has been submitted to Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. by the prosecutors for handwriting samples to be obtained from Cuadra and Kerekes for comparison.

“The documents indicate that both defendants had written the letters which contain material information relative to the ... case,” attorneys said in their request.

The FBI gave the documents to the prosecution.

Cuadra and Kerekes are currently awaiting trial for the January 2007 murder of Kocis, which allegedly was part of a scheme to obtain the services of Cobra Video exclusive model Brent Corrigan (aka Sean Lockhart). A start date for the trial has not been scheduled.

The prosecution is seeking the death penalty for both defendants in the case.
