Standard Innovation Files Patent Claim in Canadian Federal Court

OTTAWA — Standard Innovation Corporation has commenced a legal proceeding in the Canadian federal court to enforce its patent and industrial design registration for We-Vibe.

“The We-Vibe is a worldwide sensation and the number one product in its category,” SIC CEO Danny Osadca said. “The We-Vibe is protected by Canadian patents and we intend to enforce our valuable intellectual property rights, as required, based on the actions of our competitors.”

SIC is seeking relief and compensation in the Canadian federal court for infringement of its Canadian patents and Canadian industrial design registration. The claim names as defendants manufacturers LELOi AB, LELO Inc., LELO Shanghai Trading, Ltd., and distributors 1531011Ontario Inc. (JDS Wholesales & Distributors), CANA International Distributing Inc. (Sexy Living), LandCo Import International Inc., and TBMBM Inc. (Pink Cherry).

The We-Vibe is also protected by utility and design patents in the U.S., Europe, Mexico, Australia, Brazil, Japan and China.

Recently, SIC filed a lawsuit against LELO in U.S. District Court that seeks relief and compensation for patent infringement in the U.S., and is the complainant in a pending investigation against LELO and others before the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Standard Innovation Corporation, a privately held company headquartered in Ottawa, has sold more than 1 million units of its We-Vibe.
