Adult Industry Pros Featured in Porn Piracy Article

SEATTLE — Private's Jason Tucker and Pink Visual's Q Boyer — as well as porn BitTorrent litigators Marc Randazza, John Steele, Evan Stone and Kenneth Ford — are featured in an article on online adult piracy published today in several Village Voice-owned publications, including the Seattle Weekly, LA Weekly and OC Weekly.

The 6,500-word story takes an in-depth look at the consumer, business and legal issues involving the theft of copyrighted material — both porn and mainstream — through swarms on BitTorrent networks.

Titled "Porn, Piracy and BitTorrent: The Film Industry Mounts a Sketchy Legal Strategy in Response to Illegal Downloads," the article hones in on the business of hunting down those who poach content to the problems identifying infringers to efforts by the adult entertainment industry to coalesce to fight piracy.

"I thought it was a well researched and balanced piece that draws light on the good and the not so good that is going on in the fight against pirates," Tucker told XBIZ. "We are continuing our efforts at full steam."
