Cop to Marry Porn King

FAIRFAX, New Zealand – An unsuspecting bride claims not to have known much about her husband's past. Or at least that's what prosecuting sergeant Gaylene Rogers is telling her superiors regarding her pending marriage to porn producer and distributor Steve Crowe.

Crowe is allegedly the largest distributor of pornographic content in New Zealand and currently has 33 criminal outstanding convictions against him.

Sergeant Rogers, who has maintained a "flawless" record for the eight years she has served with the force, is currently being questioned by her superiors over her association with a convicted criminal.

According to reports, a fellow officer waged a complaint about the relationship and police later investigated, calling into question Rogers' standard of professionalism and any embarrassment she has caused the police force through her involvement with a porn king and alleged criminal.

"We're aware of the situation and are looking into it," said police spokesperson Jon Neilson.

Crowe was quoted as saying that his relationship with Rogers did not affect her job and it was not an issue. They never talked about work, he claims. Crowe was even outraged that he was banned from his fiance's Christmas party last year.

"I've never even seen her in her uniform. I've ironed her shirts a couple of times, but that's it," he was quoted as saying.

Crowe is saying that the police investigation into his fiancé's private life is an invasion of her privacy. Rogers claims that she informed her superiors of the relationship several days after meeting Crowe.

In the meantime, Crowe has persistently been in trouble with authorities over one of his favorite porn subject matters: pregnant women.

Crowe was first in a row with Health Minister Annette King over wanting to film a woman giving birth in one of his porn films, and now Crowe and the local parks service are in a tangle over his threat to continue to shoot porn movies in local parks without permission.

According to reports, the porn maker and distributor is notorious for shooting pornographic films without a permit and clashing with New Zealand's film policy, which says that filmmakers need permission to shoot in local parks and must pay $1,000 fee per day.

One of Crowe's recent porn flicks "Ripe" featured a pregnant woman and was shot illegally in parts of New Zealand's parks and state beaches. Crowe has threatened that he and his porn film crew will one day soon return.

"I'm not interested in bureaucracy and won't pay people a permit to use a public facility," he told the Western Leader in May. "I don't really care what they say or do. I'm not really interested in their agenda."

Crowe's film "Ripe" was recently screened at the Berlin Venus Adult Film Festival. The film captured national attention earlier this year when Crowe announced plans to include footage of a live birth.
