Falcon Chooses Brickhouse to Deliver Wireless Content

SAN FRANCISCO — Gay adult content provider Falcon Studios has tapped Brickhouse Mobile in a three-year deal that will launch Falcon’s mobile phone content worldwide. The deal is said to be the first global wireless deal for a gay adult company.

Thursday’s announcement includes video clips from Falcon brands — including Falcon Studios, Jocks Studios, Mustang Studios, The Falcon International Collection and The Alone With Series — as well as wallpapers and voice ringtones.

“We were very rigorous in our selection process for mobile phone content and services,” said Todd Montgomery, CEO of ConWest Resources, parent company of Falcon Studios. “We selected Brickhouse Mobile because our evaluation assured us that they are the provider with the infrastructure and partnerships to give our customers what they want.”

With the deal, Falcon expects a new revenue stream with its wireless adult service, a sector that is forecast to generate $1.9 billion in worldwide revenue by 2008, according to Juniper Research.

In Europe, consumers who are purchasing adult content on their cellphones are spending an average of $34 a year, Juniper reports. In another forecast, The Yankee Group said that ringtones are expected to grow to $1 billion by 2008. In 2003, they generated $80 million in revenue.

Falcon wireless consumers will be offered the choice between a monthly subscription for all of the company’s content or they can purchase content a la carte.

Age-verified mobile content will be available for sale this summer through Falcon websites, a newly launched WAP site, and through both Java and BREW applications on authorized carrier decks.

Falcon’s exclusive models include Matthew Rush, Josh Weston, Erik Rhodes and Roman Heart.

“We feel very fortunate to be working with Falcon, the premiere brand within the gay adult entertainment industry,” Brickhouse Mobile President L.R. Clinton Fayling said. “We look forward to extending Falcon’s reach via products and cross promotions that leverage the technology and convenience of the mobile phone.”
