Squirt.org Adds Mobile Payment Option for the U.K.

TORONTO — Gay hookup site Squirt.org is joining forces with European carrier billing provider DIMOCO to provide mobile payment capabilities for users in the United Kingdom.

Squirt.org members may now use mobile pay in addition to credit card and direct debit payment options. Squirt.org, according to a spokesperson, "is working to ensure that mobile pay will be rolled out to other European countries later this year."

Attila Szatmari, digital business director for Squirt.org's parent company, Pink Triangle Press, said, "Mobile pay adds yet another option to our customers, making it simpler for them to continue to enjoy our content and services without interruption. In an era where business gets increasingly complicated and difficult to navigate, we're working to make things easier and more streamlined for our customers, thanks to DIMOCO and its easy-to-use mobile pay service."

Beginning this month, Squirt.org users in the U.K. will be able to pay their memberships by mobile pay in pounds when they enter their mobile number and are prompted for confirmation on their mobile phone via text message. The amount will then be charged to their mobile provider bill as "value added service."

"With almost 70 percent of all traffic to Squirt.org and over 55 percent of all transactions on the site completed on mobile devices, our users have been asking for a simpler way to pay for membership," Szatmari said. "It's also great for customers who may not have a credit card but still desire an anonymous payment method."
