Blue Blake Resumes Directing Career

LONDON — Performer-turned-director Blue Blake will once again step behind the cameras for his muscle-centric Big Blue Productions.

He had announced his retirement — for the second time — from the adult entertainment business. "It didn't take," Blake told XBIZ.

The British-born director has been based in London for more than a year and does not intend to return Stateside to resume his career. "I'm having a wonderful time in London," he said. "There is so much going on over here right now. I just had lunch with Trojan Rock from Alphamale Media; he suggested we get together and catch up. There is none of the weird, petty jealousies you find in American porn. I am about to kick the porn industry in England into high gear."

Production is set for July and will feature Blake's signature: massive, gay-for-pay bodybuilders. "There are all these bodybuilders hanging around London. I've been licking my lips! There are Czech bodybuilders and Brazilian bodybuilders. Lots of new, fresh meat."

The new movie will be hardcore. Paladin Video has U.S. distribution rights. The most recent films to come from Big Blue Productions were 2007's "The Muscle Pit" and last year's compilation "Strongman Solo 1: Straight Bodybuilders."

In related news, Blake will appear at the Prowler Soho adult retail outlet on Sunday to sign copies of his Running Press autobiography, "Out of the Blue: Confessions of an Unlikely Porn Star."

He said a sequel to the book is in the works and will focus primarily on his career as a porn producer and director.

Blake's media blitz includes a July 15 book party sponsored by Time Out London magazine and a recurring Internet radio segment titled "Sexy and the City" for GaydarRadio.com.

"Gaydar gave me this segment on Wednesday nights where I talk about what's sexy in London right now," Blake said. "But more importantly, I talk about what isn't sexy."
