Harmony Films Visits U.S. to Plan November Distribution Changeover

LOS ANGELES — Representatives from London-based Harmony Films visited the U.S. last week to lay foundations for its upcoming expansion into the North American market. Harmony Films plans to move its distribution and sales in-house in November.

Jason Maskell, Harmony Films' sales and marketing manager, and Chris Norman, the company's consultant, traveled to the East and West Coasts to visit key vendors and business contacts.

"Our trip to the U.S. was very productive," Maskell said. "Putting a face on the people we've only talked to on the phone is very important to us. We do business all around the world, but we feel the personal touch is key in all our dealings. We're looking forward to being able to offer our movies from our U.S. facilities in a little more than a month."

Titles scheduled for initial release in November are "Young Harlots: Dirty Secrets" and "Ladies of Pleasure." "Nymphomaniac," starring Bobbi Star, and a new title from Tanya Hyde are planned for December.

Harmony Films will continue to be distributed by Evil Angel until November. After the change, it plans to increase its monthly releases to about four titles per month.
