Vivid Entertainment Wins "Adult Film Studio of the Year" at StorErotica

LAS VEGAS — Vivid Entertainment Group was chosen as "Adult Film Studio of the Year" during the recent StorErotica Convention and Trade Show at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas from Aug. 24-27.

Accepting the award on behalf of Vivid was veteran adult store entrepreneur John Cornetta.

"Steven Hirsch and Bill Asher run a thriving Vivid today, but when Steven started the company 25 years ago, he had only borrowed money and tremendous determination," Cornetta said. "Vivid was inspired by the old Hollywood studio system to create the Vivid Girls concept, whereby actresses would sign contracts to make movies exclusively for the studio."

Vivid competed with seven other studios. Other award categories included Accessory Manufacturer of the Year, Chain Retailer of the Year and Adult Manufacturer of the Year.
