Lavender Lounge Presents 2nd Annual Mr. Muscle Bear Cub Contest

SAN FRANCISCO — Lavender Lounge presents the Second Annual Mr. Muscle Bear Cub Contest this Friday at Truck, located at 1900 Folsom St. in San Francisco.

MuscleBearCub.com is a dating site for men who are part of the bear community but are younger and smaller than the typical definition of a "bear." The site offers free personal ads with social networking features that enable users to communicate with other members.

Tom Orr returns as emcee for the contest, and will perform "humorous and satirical original songs about muscle bear cubs lamenting the struggle for acceptance in the world of burlier bears."

The event kicks off a series of events surrounding Bear Week, culminating with the Harrison Street Fair on Aug. 31. The Mr. Muscle Bear Cub Contest is an official event of Bear Week.
