Janine Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion

PORTLAND, Ore. — Well-known adult starlet Janine, aka Janine Lindemulder, has pleaded guilty to tax evasion.

On Friday, federal prosecuters told the court that Janine M. James [Janine’s real name] had failed to pay more than $200,000 in taxes to the IRS.

As part of the plea bargain, Janine admitted to putting a down payment on a home in Eugene, Ore., worth more than $600,000, as well as purchasng a new Jeep and a recreational vehicle, though she knew that she owed taxes.

A resident of Huntington Beach, Ca., Janine could face a $100,000 fine and a year in jail at her sentencing, which is scheduled for October 24.

When the story first surfaced on SmokingGun.com in July, after charges were filed against the performer, it was speculated that Janine owed more than $80,000 in unpaid taxes.

Janine made her adult film debut in 1992 in Andrew Blake’s “Hidden Obsessions,” and quickly became one of the industry’s most popular girl-only performers. Her first scene working with a male performer came in Vivid Entertainment’s “Maneater” in 2004.

She also notably starred in a celebrity sex tape with Motley Crue singer Vince Neil, appeared in the Howard Stern film “Private Parts” and was married to West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James.
