LOS ANGELES — Unconfirmed reports of adult performer Cole Ryder’s death were published today on gay blog Queerty.com. According to the story, Ryder died in his sleep from a staph infection.

The former Rascal exclusive model had starred in Channel 1 Releasing’s blockbuster movie “Link: The Evolution,” as well as appearing on the cover of October 2006 Unzipped magazine and the cover of Leather Sessions magazine.

Ryder also was included in a collection of realistic signature dildos for Chi Chi LaRue’s Rascal Toys, manufactured by Topco Sales.

“Cole Ryder was a beautiful person on the inside and the outside," Channel 1 Releasing partner and director Chi Chi LaRue told XBIZ.

"He had such a great manly appeal and the heart of a gentle giant," LaRue added. "Cole was always such a pleasure to work with and I’m deeply saddened by his passing. I can only wish now that he is in peace and he will always have a special place in my heart and the C1R Family.” Sources said that an autopsy for Ryder was pending.
