"Pirates II" will include more than eight hours of supplemental material, including running commentary, extended sex scenes, a bonus sex scene, a behind-the-scenes featurette, a slide show, a special behind-the-scenes featurette with Riley Steele first day on the set, interviews and other bells and whistles.
Digital Playground Director of Marketing Adella O'Neal told XBIZ to expect big things from the movie.
"'Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge' is extremely comprehensive at every level," she said, adding that her company has an extensive and comprehensive marketing campaign planned out. "Nothing like this has ever been done before. I'm beyond excited for it's release."
Company founder Joone said that high-definition cameras were always on set, ready to capture extras for the fans to enjoy.
"The discs are packed with special features that perfectly complement our film," he said. "On the set, everyone knew that we were part of something special – something [historic]. The cast and crew poured their souls into this film, and now fans will have a chance to see it all."
Digital Playground contract performer Riley Steele is featured in one of the special extras, and she called it one of the highlights of the shoot.
"My first scene ever was in 'Pirates II,'" she said. "I love the special featurette on my first day. It's the best possible way to remember everything that went down that day from start to finish. Of course, I don't need any help remembering that steamy threesome I was in. I think about that every night before going to bed."
Both the DVD and Blu-ray formats will be presented in widescreen format with digital 5.1 surround sound and no regional encoding, and a chapter index. Of course, the high-quality formatting and wide array of special features are standard for industry trendsetter, Digital Playground.
The cast for the new title includes contract stars Jane, Katsuni, Jordan, Stoya, Steele and Gabriella Fox, as well as Belladonna, Sasha Grey, Jenna Haze, Brianna Love, Abbey Brooks, Shawna Lenee, Rhylee Richards, Brea Lynn, Shyla Stylez and Veronica Rayne.
The male talent includes Evan Stone, Tommy Gunn, Steven St. Croix, Manuel Ferrara, James Deen, Marco Banderas, Mick Blue, Ben English and Charles Dera.
