VAN NUYS, Calif. — Video rental company WantedList.com has expanded its video-on-demand services to include a new site tailored for the iPhone.

The new site offers unlimited access to more than 2,000 full length scenes from the WantedList library of movies, specifically designed for the iPhone.

“We’re really excited about this new product," WantedList.com co-founder Anh Tran said. “In terms of new growth opportunities for our company, the new iPhone 3G is about as great of an invention as the DVD was in today’s market.

“The mobile adult industry in North America has been more or less nonexistent due to limitations imposed by carriers, problems with data transferring when you’re not near a wi-fi hub and problems with the size of mobile devices," Tran said. "The new iPhone basically solves these problems and will be the catalyst that drives the adult mobile business in North America.” The new site is free to current WantedList VOD subscribers. Current WantedList DVD rental customers can access it through Aug. 17. The streaming site can be purchased as a standalone service for $14.95 per month.

The iPhone-enabled site software also is available to affiliate programs and content companies from WantedList.

“We’ve developed the software and content delivery network as a white label solution, where anyone can use their own branding, logo, and colors to promote the site and share in revenues," WantedList co-founder Danny Ting said. "We’ve also built the technology out as a standalone platform, so that any company can license it, put their own specific content on the platform and handle all of their own billing.” WantedList plans other mobile offerings in the future.

“Right now we’re just offering streaming," Tran said, "but we’ll be adding a whole suite of other products that include interactivity, avatars and other fun mobile based offerings."

Consumers interested in the new service should visit M.WantedList.com Affiliate programs and content producers interested in licensing the software should email affiliates@wantedlist.com.
