Sexpo Offers Pilgrims Half-Price Tickets

SYDNEY, New South Wales — Organizers of this week's Sexpo health, sexuality and lifestyle exposition are offering half-price tickets to pilgrims who attended the Catholic World Youth Day gathering in Sydney last week.

This invitation comes on the heels of Sydney Archbishop George Pell’s reported encouragement for young Catholics to "procreate or perish."

“Sexpo is not anti-religion. Its pro-sex,” Australia's Eros Association CEO Fiona Patten said. “Pilgrims will be welcomed with open arms by Australia’s adult industry and they will find an astonishing array of items and services that will help couples keep sexually aware and interested in each other."

Adult performer/director Belladonna, in Australia for Sexpo, suggested that the pope allow priests to watch adult material, and has offered 300 copies of her DVDs to the Catholic Church in Australia to distribute to priests.

Sydney Sexpo reports that its 50,000 patrons are the same under-30 age demographic as Catholic World Youth Day.

Sexpo, which started in 1996, takes place in towns in Australia and South Africa. The next Sexpo will start Thursday in Sydney.

World Youth Day attendees should bring their badges to the event to receive their half-price tickets.
