Stockroom Debuts Syren Red Label

LOS ANGELES — Fetish retailer Stockroom.com has unveiled Syren Red Label, a handcrafted wholesale-only line.

Syren Red Label pieces are culled from bestselling designs within the company’s custom latex/rubber brand, Syren Latex. The line is made with the same European sheet latex used in all of the Syren products, a detail company spokesperson Ann-Marie Hollman said was crucial in preserving Syren’s signature quality.

”We’ve been experimenting since last summer with the design process,” Hollman told XBIZ. “We really wanted to make sure that what we were presenting was the best product. The line had to be beautiful and we wanted to offer something for customers that might be new to shopping for rubber designs.”

According to Hollman, wholesale latex clothing that is both well-priced and kept in stock is usually made out of molded latex. In contrast, each Syren Red Label piece is hand-tailored, not molded, in the company’s Los Angeles workshops. Hand-molded latex uses 3D patterns that conform to body contours, which make the clothing more resistant to tearing.

Stockroom.com streamlines the label’s production process by designing simpler patterns, Hollman said. The process allows the retailer to cut down on costs significantly. In addition, designs are limited to red and black only, which allows the company to receive a volume discount.

Syren Red Label offers catsuits, spanking dresses, pencil skirts and more. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price for some items is between $150-$180. The line will begin shipping in October.

Celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Janet Jackson have worn Syren Latex designs, Hollman said. The label also created costumes for films such as “Batman,” “Catwoman” and “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”
