SANTIAGO, Chile — A contestant on the Chilean reality TV show "Blind Love" has been removed from the proceedings due to an earlier appearance in an adult movie.

Photographer Esteban Venegas was competing in the second season of the dating reality show, which throws a group of single adults together to see it they'll make sparks.

Venegas was booted on the air. Host Katty Kowaleczko told him the news during a recent episode.

"Esteban, the producers have decided you should leave the program for omitting relevant information about your personal life," she said. "The producers feel the omitted information has hurt 'Blind Love's brand."

Venegas didn't protest.

"I understand I can't go on, if that's what you think and want, it's OK," Venegas said. "I pull out happy to have taken part."

The show is produced by Chile's Canal 13. The company specifically said that Venegas' involvement in adult cost him his shot at reality TV stardom.

Venegas earlier starmaking turn came in the adult movie "Hot Bread," released in 2001.
