NEW YORK - Fetish magazine Penthouse Variations will sponsor the Cat O' Nine Fetish Gala Sunday to benefit Rebecca's Hidden Chamber, a popular dungeon and fetish facility recently raided by New York law enforcement.
Undercover officers posed as johns to infiltrate Rebecca's Hidden Chamber, which bills itself as "the polite dungeon," according to its site. Six dominatrix were charged with prostitution in the case.
"A number of cities are trying to shut down [BDSM] dungeons and it's a violation of freedom of speech," Rev Mel, BDSM educator and operator of TalkingSexRadio.com told XBIZ.
Rev Mel is the host of the "Rev Mel Show with Tony Bones" which features a number of BDSM community members on-air. She also works closely with Los Angeles-based members-only BDSM club Lair De Sade.
"Dominatrix are not prostitutes. If you are a masochist you need this type of service. This isn't sex," Rev Mel said.
Hosting the event will be Domme Dietrich. Former Penthouse Pet of the Year Dr. Victoria Zdrok and well-known fetish model Justine Joli will co-host.
"Justine is very big in the fetish community," Penthouse's Lainie Speiser told XBIZ. "She loves getting her feet massaged and always has at least four or five submissive men tending to her feet."
"There are going to be a number of gorgeous dominatrix at this event. Krista Ayne, who was a Pet of the Year runner up will also co-host," Speiser added.
Domme Dietrich, Felix the Latex Slave and Mistress Sienna will perform along with various rockabilly bands. A lesbian wrestling match will be one of the highlights of the evening.
Sponsors include Penthousestore.com, Bondage.com and Alt.com.
All proceeds will go to the Dommes of the Hidden Chamber.
