"Our primary objective is to check if content contains an affiliate link or not, to make sure that our clients do not lose any sales," ContentRemove.com owner Cem told XBIZ. "A watermark on the content helps to identify the content. We have a big database of sites where we search for our clients' content. These sites are well known to provide stolen content."
The checking is currently done manually, but the company is working on an automated process.
"We have been very effective and until now 99 percent of the links we found have been removed," Cem said. "For example we have found and reported thousands of stolen links for one of our recent clients — XFC.in, Nubiles.net — in a small time frame. Almost all of these links have already been terminated by the host.
"Some sites are just more popular among content stealers and with nubiles.net we knew that we would have a tough fight. We are winning this so far."
ContentRemove.com will send hard copy and electronic DMCA notices and confirm deletion of unauthorized content. If necessary, company representatives will make personal contact with Internet service providers. Services are priced on a sliding scale depending on how many sites are monitored for a client.
