X-Play Plans 'Love Boat,' 'Three’s Company' Parodies

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Producers Scott David and Jeff Mullen of X-Play have announced plans to produce XXX parodies of '70s TV shows "Three’s Company" and "The Love Boat." The company released "Not the Bradys XXX" last year and plans to release "Not Bewitched XXX" and a "Bradys" sequel later this year.

"We're in pre-casting right now," X-Play president Jeff Mullen told XBIZ. "We'll be selecting shooting dates depending on the performers' availability. We're writing the scripts now and we'll shoot them in August. One in the beginning, one in the end.

"Some people have said there are too many parodies. Are there too many gonzos? We're entertainers. That's what we're doing."

The idea for parodies of "The Love Boat" and "Three’s Company" have been on X-Play’s to-do list for more than a year but running a studio, directing each production and handling marketing leaves Mullen little time to start new projects.

“We’re still a small production company which is the way we like it and we’re having a blast with the success of our 'Not … XXX' titles, but each one of them takes an incredibly long time to create,” Mullen said. “You can slap a movie together, but if the attention to detail is not there, the fans will know it and I guarantee that everything that comes from X-Play will be picture perfect."

Agents and performers are encouraged to contact X-Play/All Media Play at info@allmediaplay.com for information on casting.

"Not the Bradys XXX" is in stores now, and can be viewed on VOD from HotMovies through the official website. Wholesale sales are handled by Hustler Video. Wholesale buyers should email David Diamond or Michael Glaser.

"Not Bewitched XXX" streets Sept. 23. Wholesale sales are handled through Adam & Eve. Wholesale buyers should email R. Thomas.
