VibeMedia Acquires BestGayBlogs

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Marketing company VibeMedia, parent company of the JustUsBoys website and print magazine, announced the purchase of high-traffic blog directory BestGayBlogs .

The four-year-old directory features a who’s who of the gay blogging industry.

Immediately after the acquisition, VibeMedia relaunched the site and according to the company feedback has been very positive.

“I’m loving the new site,” gay blogger Likka Starr said. “It is better organized and super-easy to navigate. I’m also very excited about the promised active presence of the new management team. A word of advice to all the bloggers out there, get your site re-submitted as quickly as possible. BGB had a ton of blogs listed before so the sooner you get back in the better. In other words, get your site noticed while others are submitting theirs.”

The company said they have run into one small snag when the site relaunched — in order to drop the old Joomla engine that previously powered the site, the old directory had to be wiped out due to the linking structure. As a result, all bloggers that previously listed their sites on BestGayBlogs need to resubmit their entries. More than 150 bloggers have resubmitted.
