Ron Jeremy Hosting L.A. 'Poultrygeist' Premiere Party

NEW YORK — Independent mainstream movie studio Troma Entertainment announced that the June 13 Los Angeles premiere of Lloyd Kaufman's "Poultrygeist: Night of The Chicken Dead" will be followed by an exclusive invitation-only after party at the Hustler Hollywood store in West Hollywood hosted by Ron Jeremy, who also appears in the film.

The guest list for the party includes Troma President Lloyd Kaufman, Eli Roth, James Gunn, Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Stan Lee, Quentin Tarantino, Julie Strain, Kevin Eastman, Roger Corman and the "Poultrygeist" cast.

Shot and screened on 35mm, "Poultrygeist" blends the feather ruffling politics of "Fast Food Nation," the satire of "Shaun of The Dead" and the show-stopping musical numbers of "Spring Awakening" to skewer the fast food industry, limousine liberals, and almost everyone else in American society, according to a Troma spokesperson.

"'Poultrygeist' continues Troma Entertainment’s long history of cinematic political activism,” said director Kaufman, who is also a co-founder of Troma Entertainment. "Big media puts the Kool-Aid in the water and brainwashes the public to line up at fast food joints like obese, artery clogged zombies ... except in our film it's chicken-Indian zombies. The American Indians were exterminated and so are billions of innocent chickens. The zombie is a perfect metaphor.”

"Poultrygeist" opens June 13 in Los Angeles at Laemmle's Sunset 5 Cinemas, 8000 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood. Screenings are open to the public with paid admission.
