“Bob Mizer photographed thousands of men over the 50-odd years that he was active,” AMG President Dennis Bell said.
“Many of his most popular models came back again and again and appear in photographs, sometimes over decades,” he added. “Both of these new wrestling videos feature some of the most sought after AMG men at their peak, in a raw, aggressive atmosphere.”
Digitally remastered, the videos feature several of the most popular Mizer models, many wearing the hairstyles of the day, as they perform in all-nude wrestling matches.
The more than 50 models featured in the videos include TJ Swan, Brian Diaz, David Televito, Jerry Suter, Ernie Banks, Tory Bell, Kris Todd, Dean Adams, Sinbad O’Connor and Stavlos Aekomas.
Mizer was the publisher of Physique Pictorial magazine and became renowned for his photographs of muscular men over a career that spanned five decades.
Athletic Model Guild was acquired by Bell in 2004 from Mizer’s estate, which also included a vast library of classic photographs, film and video. Bell is currently in the process of remastering several of Mizer’s classic productions for release on DVD.
