The production is will be shot in Canada. Slated for a 2009 release, the movie will be submitted to several film festivals before theatrical release.

In an earlier interview with XBIZ, Grey said, “I am getting ready to go to Canada to do a horror film. I don’t get naked and I don’t die. I have a real role, so I’m pretty excited about that. It’s more of a psychological horror film about a killer filmmaker.”

Recent industry sources speculated that Grey might also be tapped for a leading role in project for mainstream director Steven Soderbergh titled “The Girlfriend Experience.”

While Soderbergh was rumored to be considering an adult actress for the lead role of a high-end call girl, Grey confirmed that she had not been approached by the director.

The starlet also recently appeared in a music video for Smashing Pumpkins, for their single “Superchrist.”

Grey will co-star in "Smash Cut" with B-movie actors David Hess ("Last House on the Left"), Michael Berryman ("The Hills Have Eyes"), Ray Sager ("The Wizard of Gore") and Herschell Gordon Lewis ("Blood Feast," "2000 Maniacs").

Making the obvious comparison to the adult films that Grey has appeared in, Demarbre said, "The only penetration [in the movie] is by knives and axes."
