Digital Playground's 'Babysitters' Wins XRCO Award

VAN NUYS, Calif. — In a year that promises to shower Digital Playground with praise and awards, "Babysitters" got the ball rolling with another win at the XRCO Awards April 30, when it won for Best Release.

"This was a big win for us," Digital Playground CEO Samantha Lewis said. "'Babysitters' is a prime example of the type of film we pride ourselves on making. Based on the ever growing sales numbers, we already know that 'Babysitters' is a run away hit with our fans. Now to be honored by XRCO proves that the film is equally appreciated by the critics. It's nice to receive such an affirmation of all our hard work to make quality films that people enjoy watching."

Hosted in Hollywood, XRCO is comprised of adult critics from publications and internet sites, and is the only awards show strictly for industry insiders and closed to the public. Rather than a formal ceremony, the show really is a party meant to honor various works of achievement in adult filmmaking by industry peers.

"The 24th annual XRCO Awards Show, held Wednesday evening at the Highlands Hollywood, was a huge success with nearly a thousand members of the adult industry in attendance," XRCO chairman and adult film critic Dirty Bob said. "The show went as smoothly as any similar adult event and everyone appeared thrilled with the new upgraded venue for this time-honored event. Regarding the voting...Digital Playground's win for Best Release of 2007 with 'Babysitters'...was...slick as a baby's bottom."

"Babysitters" recently received the Adam Film World Names award for "Best Gonzo Comedy," three awards at the 2008 AVN Awards and awards for 2007 HD-DVD of the Year (CAVR) and 2007 Critics' Choice (Adult DVD Review). The flick is also nominated for a FAME Award.

Directed by Robby D., "Babysitters" is a big-budget, feature movie starring four of Digital Playground's contract superstars, and an instant blockbuster that features all of the best selling, most in-demand and hottest girls in the industry, including the exclusive Jesse Jane®, Teagan Presley, Sophia Santi(TM) and Shay Jordan(TM), alongside Sasha Grey, Nautica Thorn, Nikki Benz, Gina Lynn, Alektra Blue, Angie Savage, Lexxi Tyler and Sammie Rhodes.
