The site is offered on DivX platform, with more than 1,000 Private titles available for download-to-own. Two new titles will be added weekly to the content library.
“The download-to-own market is still relatively new, but since we launched Private to Own in August 2006, we have seen significant incremental sales month on month,” Private’s affiliate manager Panos Kouvatsos said, “with a 44 percent increase in revenues in Q3 and Q4 2007 compared to Q1 and Q2 of that year. Now that we have the ability to offer this platform through our affiliate program, we expect to see a substantial increase in revenues over the coming months.”
The site is in English, Spanish and German, with French to be added shortly. Resellers can completely brand and customize their online store, and also are able to select and display specific niche content to target a their audience.
Marketing tools are available through the Private Cash affiliate program; webmasters receive payouts every two weeks and can check their stats online daily.
As a special promotion, the program will offer 60 percent payouts on all download sales made through the month of April.
