James Bartholet Starts Acting Workshops
The two-day workshops, geared toward adult performers who want to improve their acting skills, will cover the basics of acting and improvisation, with on-camera taping and playback of acting scenes.
“With many features being shot and performers wanting to make that transition into mainstream, I think this will be a great workshop for them to take,” Bartholet said. “We will go over scene study, character development, improvisation skills, and we will tape a scene that the students pick from a mainstream film, television or stage production."
Bartholet has been working in the adult industry for several years, and hosted "Tonite with James Bartholet" on the now-defunct KSEX Internet radio. Bartholet has studied at ACT in San Francisco, and with acting coaches in the Los Angeles area. He has acted in stage productions from coast to coast and performed sketch comedy at the Comedy Store, The Ice House and Improv. He has worked on film for mainstream directors including Blake Edwards, Richard Donner and David Lynch.
The workshops will be held in West Hollywood, Calif., through April. Interested performers should email Bartholet at firstname.lastname@example.org..
