Tom Byron, Matt Zane Celebrate XBIZ Award Nominations

(HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. — With two big 2008 XBIZ Award nominations under his belt, Tom Byron is out to win but just acting a bit humble…for now, that is.

Byron is nominated under the “Emerging Studio of the Year” and “Male Performer of the Year” categories.

"It's nice being nominated and all, but winning is better,” says Byron.

The second installment of his popular MILF series, "Seasoned Players," starred Byron along with legendary superstar Nina Hartley and came out in November 2007, to much praise for Hartley's anal scene and Byron’s performances in all four scenes.

Upon hearing the nomination news, Byron turned into Mr. Modest, saying, “I don't think Tom Byron Pictures has a shot in hell, to be honest with you. What sucks about being nominated in the Emerging Studio category is that there are some really legitimate contenders. My competition did some amazing work right out of the gate, producing movies that were hailed by critics and selling like hotcakes.

"Same with the Male Performer category. Manuel Ferrara? Erik Everhard, Tommy Gunn? How do you compete with these guys? I'm depressed now. But Missy Stone's coming over to blow me later. Maybe that will make me feel better.”

Evolution Distribution is also pleased to announce that Matt Zane Productions has also earned an “Emerging Studio of the Year” nomination.

"It's cool to get recognized. I worked really hard to put Matt Zane Productions on the map this past year," Zane said. "I am sure everyone nominated worked their asses off, but I actually bleed for my movies."

The latest installment of Zane’s series, "Tattooed & Tight 3," is scheduled for street release mid-February.

Right now, Zane is currently in production for the second edition of his metal series Radium, hosted by Tera Wray. Shooting started last week and Zane is seeking recording artists at major labels who would like to have their music videos featured on Radium.

The 2008 XBIZ Awards show will take place at The Highlands in Hollywood, California, in the middle of the action-packed and seminar-heavy XBIZ Hollywood Conference. The show starts at 8 p.m. Feb.. 7.
