1 Distribution Goes Up for Sale

LOS ANGELES — Mathew John Holding Inc. has announced that it is seeking to sell its adult studios and wholesale company.

Mathew John Holding Inc. is the parent company of wholesaler 1 Distribution , Tipo Sesso, Toxxxic Video, Flirt, Boiling Point Productions, Carnaval Films and Major Wood Productions.

“My business partner and I have come to a point where we need to move in separate directions when it comes to business,” MJH Vice President Sam Manning said.

Manning, who started his adult career as performer Sam Dixon in 1997, founded Boiling Point Productions in 1998 and produced a handful of movies before moving on to partnerships in other ventures.

Boiling Point is the oldest of the studios under MJH’s umbrella. Tipo Sesso has seen great success as one of the prominent twink/jock bareback producers; perhaps most known for discovering performer Brent Everett and putting him in his first film (and only bareback movie) titled “Barebacking Across America.”

DVD wholesaler 1 Distribution was founded in 2004, while the other studios are relatively new — the most recent being Toxxxic Video. Its release of “Cum Dump” is a company bestseller.

MJH said there will be no interruption in the day-to-day operations of the companies while seeking a suitable buyer.

“I will continue to handle the day-to-day operations until — and possibly for a period of time after — a buyer is found,” Manning said. “I want everything to remain functioning well. Although I must say my staff here is more then capable of handling things.

“It’s important that people know that the company is not closing down,” Manning said. “My going public with our decision to sell is really to let potential buyers know that we are looking for a buyer. The last thing I want is for anyone to think we are closing our doors. Business is strong and will continue on. We are even filming this week, so it’s business-as-usual.”

If the company is sold, Manning plans to steer his life in a different direction.

“It’s hard to say goodbye to a business I built from the ground up,” he said. “If we sell, I will move down a totally new pathway. I would love to explore other ventures outside of the adult industry. I’ve been doing this for over 10 years now. I’m ready for a change.” For more information, visit 1 Distribution’s website.
