Besides being Trannywood Pictures’ first GayVN award, they believe it's the first time that two gay FTM (female to male) transsexual films had been nominated in the same year at the GayVNs. Buck Angel’s “Buckback Mountain” received two nominations including in the same category as “Cubbyholes: Trans Men in Action,” as Best Alternative Release.
“We never expected a nomination our first time out. It’s doubly exciting since it comes as our second film, “Couch Surfers: Trans Men in Action” is about to be released”, commented Dex Hardlove, coordinator of talent for Trannywood.
“It means a lot to us, that the GqyVN Awards are back in San Francisco,” said Ian Sparks of Trannywood Pictures, “so a small company like ours can participate.”
