Durex Looking for Condom Testers

NORCROSS, Ga. — Condom manufacturer Durex is offering 2,000 people in the U.S. and Canada the chance to become official condom testers for the company.

"Durex wants condom and lubricant users to not only have safe sex, but to also have fun," Durex Consumer Products Brand Manager Stephen Mare said. "What better way to ensure that our products are meeting the needs of [our users] than to ask them first-hand?"

Applicants can apply for the volunteer position through Nov. 4. In the online application, candidates will be asked a series of questions, including "How often do you use condoms?" and "Why do you want to be a Durex condom tester?"

After the applications are reviewed, 1,000 applicants from each country will be sent a supply of Durex products, including vibrating rings, lubricants and assorted condoms. The condom testers will be asked to provide Durex with feedback about product performance. One randomly selected tester from each country also will receive a $1,000 cash bonus.

Applicants can be male or female and must be 18 years of age or older. U.S. residents can apply here and Canadian residents can apply here.
