eXtreme Restraints Launches Plus-Size Lingerie Line

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Fetish specialty retailer eXtreme Restraints has launched its first-ever line of plus-sized lingerie to cater to a market the company sees as underserved.

XR's James Medina told XBIZ that the company had discussed expanding its existing line of leather, nylon and latex lingerie to cater to larger women, and now was the right time to make it official.

"We want to serve everything that everybody's ever been into, and plus-size lingerie is just something we never did until now," Medina said. "We have a small selection here but it's useful."

The current collection features a leather peek-a-boo bra, bustier and thong, as well as a leather and fishnet baby doll. Medina said the collection will be expanded in the future.

Medina said the most important factor is the upsell opportunity that affiliates have by linking directly to the collection.

"If [an affiliate] has plus-sized customers," Medina said, "[he] can send them straight to it. It's all in one section."

Medina also noted that the women used to model the plus-sized line are beautiful and show off the collection well.

"There are a lot of plus-size people out there and there's more and more catering to that," Medina said. "I think we're just moving ahead."
