Spartacus Sales and Marketing Coordinator Alice Beckett told XBIZ that the harness was manufactured to fulfill special requests made by several wholesale and retail customers, and Spartacus responded with an affordable, adjustable and comfortable product.
"The thigh harness is made with a wide piece of very soft leather, a long strap that will fit pretty much anybody, and an O-ring that snaps out and can be replaced with other rings," Beckett said. "The strap closes with a D-ring, and it's made with oiltan leather, which is softer and more buttery than latigo."
A cushioned pad was added underneath the harness for added comfort, she said, to allow for comfortable placement during the variety of sexual positions that wearing a thigh harness allows.
But because of the thigh harness' uniqueness, Spartacus Vice President Laurie Bergquist recommended that that stores buy one or two of them and later reorder based on sales performance.
"This harness will do phenomenal sales for some stores and mediocre sales for others," Bergquist said. "It's a question of the shoppers."
Spartacus Sales and Marketing Manager Sean Christensen said that he has received several preorders for the harness and currently is fulfilling wholesale requests.
